LAD #11
The Declaration of Sentiments is essentially a rewrite of the Declaration of Independence, but instead of "all men are created equal" it is "all men and women are created equal". In the Declaration of Sentiments it states that women are subject to law that they have no say in. Women were created equal to men therefore they should have equal rights as them, including the right to vote. It basically says that it is a declaration of women against men, instead of in the Declaration of Independence when it was the colonies against the British. The Declaration of Sentiments declares that women should be educated on the laws and that they should be treated equal to men because they were originally created equal and should still be treated as such.
This is a photo of Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony.
